HI!

I’m Kai, but you'll usually see me sign my art as Kai Lien, which includes my middle name.

I’m a creative technologist and designer with a BS in engineering. However, I’m also an active artist, freelancer and activist. I guess you could say I don’t fit into any one box. I love working on projects and in teams with the goal of make a difference on the world around us through creative communication.

Much of my work is also inspired by my observations of the world around me. Using journaling, photography, sketching and conversation I try to take in what I experience with child-like curiosity and wonder.
